I decided to dye my hair red. This is the second time I've ever dyed it and my first time was last year. First blonde and now red...I think I like the red, but let's see who has more fun (blonde vs. red ;). I am not the fashionable type...I never really had the flair for it-at least in my mind, but the older I get, the more I want to experiment and try new things. It is funny, because changing something little really does change your personality...a little. I feel sassier--as if I needed help with that.
My youngest brother, Josh, and his fiance, Kathleen, visited me from Michigan for a week and it was great! They just left for the airport. Of course pretty much all I did was cook. I liked having a full house, and I miss having family around and having people around in general. Josh and Kathleen are the easy going types so it was chill. Our upstairs neighbors/friends also had their little brother and his friends in town and so we did some joint parties. It made me happy, because I like nothing better than a house full of people that I can cook for. I hosted everyone for a couple nights and it was very fun. I found it physically more difficult to cook for the usual large party gatherings I do, but I don't care it is all my love that goes into it. I just want others to enjoy and be happy--that is why I do it. Much time and effort goes into every meal and I just want to be able to do it for as long as I can.
(pic above) I love how Pippi sits in "her" spot and watches me cook all the time. It was Josh's birthday on Saturday and so I made a row of homemade pizzas and ribs. I hope it was a memorable birthday for him.
